Arkadia was founded in 2002 by Michele and Massimiliano Zuzzi, two young Florentines who laid the company’s foundations after having participated and won a national competition for business ideas directed at young entrepreneurs. Initially the activity started as a production company with recording studios owned, designed and built according to class A standards, not far from Ponte Vecchio in the heart of Florence, at the foot of Piazzale Michelangelo. After a few years, thanks to investment and successful market strategies adopted, Arkadia established itself as a leader in the area. In 2007 Arkadia started a partnership with the U.S. multinational Deluxe Media (then known as Deluxe Digital Studios), which after thorough review of all service providers in Italy chose Arkadia as partner for the recording of the Italian and German editions for the channel E! entertainment TV, broadcast on SKY until 2012.
During the collaboration with Deluxe Media, Arkadia expanded its main facility to include a second studio to streamline and speed up production. The company recruited qualified technical and administrative staff and developed software to expedite the processing phases, thus consolidating the partnership with the American company. During this time Arkadia built its portfolio of successful productions. Once the company had established credibility in the industry it began to participate in important markets and trade fairs such as MIPCOM, MIPTV, American Film Market, World content market, NAPTE, gamescom, E3EXPO etc…
Arkadia is internationally-recognized, promotes its services globally and acquires an increasing number of customers with national and international productions. In order to meet the demand for the localization of content in many languages Arkadia collaborates with small satellite studios in European capitals such as Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Stockholm, Oslo, as well as in Moscow, Istanbul, in South America, in Sao Paulo, Bogota and therefore the company has become known with its present name, Arkadia Group Int’l | Dubbing Pictures.
In 2013 the group opened a production studio in New York.
